Kendrick Lamar Wants All The Grammys
K Dot details his plans for the awards ceremony.
He also covered Billboard’s February issue and during his discussion with the magazine he put his normal humbleness to the side and understandably noted that he wants all the recognition for his hard work.
"I want to win them all," he said when asked about his Grammy nods. “It’s bigger than me. When we think about the Grammys, only Lauryn Hill and Outkast have won album of the year. This would be big for hip hop culture at large.”
Also during the interview K Dot talked about his recent visit with President Obama at the White House and how it was a big step forward for not only hip hop but anyone who looks up to him.
“The way people look at me these days – that’s the same way I looked at President Obama before I met him,” he explained. “We tend to forget that people who’ve attained a certain position are human. When [the president] said to my face what his favorite record was – I understood that, no matter how high-ranking you get in this world, you’re human… No matter how high the pedestal you reach, we all still like a beat,” he continued. “Even the president has got to hear that snare drum.”
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will be televised Monday, February 15. Along with being nominated, Kendrick Lamar is also slated to perform at the ceremony as well. Watch a snippet of Billboard’s interview below and read the full story here.
Drake Confirms He Won't Be Performing at the 2016 Grammys
Drizzy responds to the CBS promo hinting that he’ll perform this year.
The 2016 Grammy Awards are right around the corner, and if you're coming for Drake — don't.
The rapper won’t be performing, but hey, it’s the thought that counts.
Much to the disappointment of CBS (and his fans), Drake has confirmed he won’t be gracing the stage at the Grammys this year with his presence, save for taking home an award or two himself.
Airing during last night’s Super Bowl (Feb. 7), a commercial promoting the Grammys hinted that Drake would be amongst this year's performers.
After seeing his name flash on screen, he shot that down real quick, posting a tweet saying, “I am not performing at the Grammy Awards…but hey it’s the thought that counts.”
Drake is nominated for a nice handful of awards, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.
The Grammy Awards will air in one week's time on February 15 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.

TY Bello’s bread hawker turned model Olajumoke Orisaguna has been signed
to a Lagos based modeling agency Few Model Management. The Few Model
Management shared a photo of Jumoke with her modeling contract in their
Instagram page today.
Few Model Management is owned by Bolajo Fawehinmi who started modelling in 2011 after her participation in the Miss Nigeria 2011 beauty pageant where she was crowned Miss Congeniality 2011.
